Personal injury: 2 fatalities resulted from Florida crash

While one might logically assume that the wee hours of the morning would mean less traffic and quieter roadways, in reality, that's not always the case. Many Florida travelers begin their journeys before the sun has risen. This often places drivers who are sleepy at risk, as well as other motorists or pedestrians who happen to be sharing the road at such times. Sadly, fatal personal injury occurred when a recent collision took the lives of two people.

One of the people involved in the crash was a 23-year-old woman. She is said to have been traveling eastbound when she lost control of her steering. Her vehicle crossed into the path of a westbound vehicle and the two cars hit head-on.

A 67-year-old woman was behind the wheel of the westbound car. The force of the crash was so severe, neither driver survived her injuries. Situations like this one often leave a lot of questions unanswered. Investigators are tasked with searching for clues and gathering information to help them form conclusions as to what exactly caused a particular vehicle to veer out of its lane.

When fatal personal injury occurs as a result of a Florida motor vehicle collision, it usually affects many others besides the actual victims. Spouses, parents or other loved ones who receive phone calls to inform them of their family members' deaths may not only suffer devastation from such great loss but also tremendous financial distress from funeral expenses and other accident-related costs. State law allows immediate family members to seek restitution in civil court. If the person responsible for injury is deceased, a claim can still be filed against his or her estate.
